Gadget Reviews Roundup: April 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everything, even the tech scene. Still, we can’t help but look at the new gadgets that we probably want to buy once the quarantine is over. Some of them we have reviewed last month. Check out our Gadget Review Roundup for the month of April.

Yugatech 728x90 Reno7 Series

Huawei P40 Pro

As it stands, the Huawei P40 Pro is a well-rounded flagship smartphone. It ticks off every single item on the checklist. However, the Huawei P40 Pro does not seem like a huge update from its predecessor. There are incremental upgrades like display size, resolution and refresh rate, CPU clock speed, GPU cores, and camera but, collectively these seemed not that immensely significant. Battery life will depend on which refresh rate you will set it so there’s that trade-off. If you’re also a nomadic person, the 5G compatibility with Smart and Globe 5G is a huge bonus.

OPPO Find X2 Pro

OPPO did an excellent job with the Find X2 Pro. It’s a solid phone with everything you’d ever wanted in a flagship smartphone — simple, elegant design, impressive performance, and display, great camera quality, good battery life. OPPO just showed us their phones don’t need more cameras in order to produce really great photos. Sure, it took a while for OPPO to release a successor to the original Find X but it eventually pulled through with a very strong contender this time.

We only got a few devices last month, but we’re expecting more devices to come in for review once the quarantine is lifted. Stay safe, everyone!
