DeepSeek is now requiring proper labels for all AI-generated content on their platform. This is to ensure compliance with new regulations concerning their content in China.

The company said the labelling system will include visible indicators, such as text or graphics. It will also include invisible technical markers embedded in the content’s data.
Users are prohibited from altering, removing, or falsifying these labels. DeepSeek has also banned tools and services that attempt to tamper with the markers.
The company has warned that violations could result in legal consequences. To support transparency, DeepSeek released a technical guide detailing how its AI models are trained and what data they use.
The company said this initiative aims to help users understand the origins of AI-generated materials and encourage responsible usage. The announcement follows the launch of DeepSeek’s V3.1 model.
Of course, the company is also following new regulations enforced by the Chinese government. AI service providers are now responsible for addressing their users, making sure everyone is compliant.
