Listen to article

The first local tablet to be gifted with Android 5.0 Lollipop is again getting ahead of the game by having the latest Android flavor.

Released during the first quarter of 2015, the CloudPad One tablets are now receiving an over-the-air update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It’s an OTA update, so just head to the settings panel to download and install. CloudPad One tablets come in three sizes, 6.95″, 7″, and 8″.

Despite its name, CloudPad One is not part of the Android One program, but it’s nice to see CloudFone doing a pretty good job in keeping the updates coming as promised. If your planning to get your hands on one, you may check out our review of CloudPad One 7.0 here.

Got mine (One 8) updated 4 days ago. It is good to see cloudfone enabling us to experience the latest os on such a budget oriented tablet. One thing that helped with this update is the storage management of 6.0+ which allows apps and data to be migrated to SD and treat it as part of internal storage because despite of the spec listing 8GB of internal storage(was somehow expecting 6gb+ available), only less than 4.2GB is available out of the box which is very limiting.
