This little accessory for the Sony-Ericsson smartphone (including the new Sony handsets) is called the Live View, a first generation smart watch that extends the display of your SE phone to the watch via Bluetooth.
This model has been around for over a year but there’s a new one that looks and works way better. In any case, the device looks pretty interesting especially if you have a Sony-Ericsson Android handset with you to pair it with.

The Live View is actually pretty small and light, has a curved and squarish shape made of glossy plastic. The dimensions might be a little smaller than a Baby G and comes in either a metal clip-on back panel or an attachment for the Velcro wrist-strap so you can wear it like a watch.

There’s an LED and Power button along with a Select button on the top side of the Live View. The USB port is at the bottom end, hidden by a rubber flap.
The screen itself is a bit tiny, just over an inch across and works as some sort of touchscreen as well (works like the edge-sensitive navigation of the PlayBook).
To hook it up to your Sony handset, just activate Bluetooth and pair the two in a matter of seconds. Once it is paired, your phone wi prompt you to download the Live View app from the Google Play Store.

Using the Live View app, you can now set some functions and features of the Live View accessory — set RSS url, launch apps like Twitter and Facebook, check calendar and alerts (SMS and calls) as well as a nifty feature called Find Phone.
When activated, the Find Phone will prompt your handset to set a sound alarm until you finally find it and deactivate.
Pressing the Select button for about 3 seconds will enable a remote control for the music player on your phone. Basic commands such as volume up/down, forward/rewind and play/pause can be done via the Live View.

The Sony-Ericsson Live View retails for about Php2,500 over at Widget City and is really fun to have when you already own a Sony handset or even the older Sony-Ericsson Android smartphones. Check out details here.
To make this a little more fun, we’re also giving away this review unit to anyone with a Sony smartphone. We’ll use Rafflecopter once more.
