The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has added GCash as a new way for drivers to pay traffic fines, MMDA Chairman Atty. Romando Artes announced on Friday. The payment option aims to make settling violations faster and more convenient.

During a briefing at the agency’s headquarters in Pasig, Artes also introduced updates to the MMDA’s “May Huli Ka” website. The platform now allows motorists to view evidence of their violations online, participate in an e-contest, and access a dedicated portal for vehicle-related concerns.

Artes mengatakan perubahan itu merupakan bagian dari upaya MMDA untuk meningkatkan transparansi dan memberikan akses yang lebih mudah kepada informasi lalu lintas bagi pengemudi di seluruh Metro Manila. Pengemudi dapat sekarang memeriksa sanksi, melihat foto atau video terkait, dan membayar menggunakan perangkat mobile mereka tanpa perlu mengunjungi kantor MMDA.

The agency encourages the public to use these online services to save time and ensure smooth processing of traffic penalties. The rollout of GCash payments and website upgrades is already in effect starting Friday.
