-8GB vs 32GB Internal Storage
-Flat screen vs 2.5D Sculpted Glass
-Less durable screen (No Corning Gorilla Glass)

-Battery life(Lesser)
-No built-in wireless charging (only via interchangeable shells)

THEY SHOULD NOT GO WITH ANDROID. Windows OS is not that big but is growing. (Search for BUILD CONFERENCE 2012) What’s better in Windows is that they assure quality and not focus on the quantity of apps. Just wait for the OS’s rise to the top :)

I’m planning to buy lumia 800 but after viewing some video reviews and reading some articles about these 820 and 920, It changed my mind, I’ll wait for these.

Does anyone know the exact release date and the price of 820 and 920?

I asked a nokia lady earlier at SM Megamall and she said that it will be available by next year :( I hope not… it should come out earlier.

May “FM Transmitter” feature ba to? I have a nokia n900 kasi at isa yon sa mga features na gusto ko. Kung meron, i think itatapon ko na sya (bulok kasi, may problem sa charging) and mag-uupgrade na ko to 920 kung meron. Kung wala, siguro magsasamsung na lang ako.

If Windows Phone 8 only has Instagram, Temple Run and other popular iOS and Android apps I’d really switch to a Lumia 920

Just wait for it. Windows already held a conference of developers of around 2000 to go and make applications. It will be very easy too since it is native.

Search BUILD CONFERENCE 2012 ;)

How come? We’re defending the phone because he said bad things about it. I respect personal reference as long as you don’t say negative things about others.

(My bashing of Android is for defense :D HAHA)

Based on early reviews it seems that Windows Phone 8 has NOT addressed the wifi disconnect issue! This is a big flaw!

I have a Lumia 710 and while I love the design and the app selection has improved, WP7 DISCONNECTS FROM WIFI WHEN YOU LOCK AND PUT THE PHONE ON SLEEP. And there’s NO option to keep wifi on.

So when you’re on wifi and lock the phone, it disconnects, thus you don’t get any alerts, kik/whatsapp/fb messenger/Line/Viber other IMs nor Skype/Tango calls.

Going on 3G and locking the phone keeps the cellular data on but for people who want to keep their cellular data usage low, using wifi (without disconnecting) should work.

Disappointed.

Meron na app para hindi mawala wifi connection. Not the best solution, pero I hope this will be solved in future updates.

Windows Phone 8 is really designed to work in tandem with a Data Plan. This will work great with always-on plans no prepaid but will suck bigtime for post-paid users.

Thanks, ceegii63. The workaround app works. :) A real OS update that fixes this issue would be preferable though.

any significant difference of win7 and win8?

RE

Sir yuga has an article for the changes made in WP8. Well, inside, WP8 and WP7 has a different core. The cause of WP7 devices not being able to upgrade to WP8 is that Microsoft changed WP8’s core so that it has the same with Windows 8. However, you wouldn’t notice a huge difference in terms of the UI.

If only they introduced 820 as Pureview, I would surely get one. I’m hesitating on 920 since it’s big. would be hard to move around inside our factory.
