Pebble, one of the pioneers in the wearables space, is officially Pebble again. Their CEO announced earlier this year that they’re making a comeback, and they’re certainly following through.

For context, Pebble was one of the first established smartwatch brands. However, the company struggled to keep up with the up-and-coming competition. The company was then acquired by Fitbit in 2016.
As mentioned, CEO Eric Migicovsky announced that Pebble is making a comeback in January this year. However, there were complications with the trademark.
This led to them dubbing their first two new models under different names, the Core 2 Duo and Core Time 2. This month, Migicovsky announced that they were able to reclaim the Pebble name.
In a July update via an X post, we now have the Pebble 2 Duo and Pebble Time 2. This also sets the stage for Pebble to move forward branding-wise along with more products down the line.
Despite being sidelined for some time, Pebble still retains a devoted following. Their minimalist approach resonates with end users who look for no-nonsense, straightforward wearables.
