During the Made on YouTube event, the Google showcased a new editing app called YouTube Create.

Most importantly, it offers access to YouTube’s library of royalty-free tracks—in which creators can monetize their videos without any copyright woes.

The app also features a beat-matching feature, derived from TikTok, that automatically synchronizes the beats of the chosen song with the video clips for a seamless viewing experience.

In addition to its audio capabilities, YouTube Create includes a variety of useful features. It can remove unwanted noise, generate captions with a simple tap, and export the final product directly to the creator’s YouTube channel.

Despite the availability of built-in effects on platforms like TikTok, many creators prefer using specialized apps like ByteDance’s CapCut to edit their videos. YouTube took this feedback into account by consulting with 3,000 creators during the development process of YouTube Create.

Currently in beta on Android, YouTube Create is available in select markets, including the United States, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Indonesia, India, Korea, and Singapore.

The app will be a standalone addition to the main YouTube app, providing creators with a wealth of powerful editing tools at absolutely no cost.
