Samsung has officially unveiled its next OS iteration, OneUI 6 during its SDC23. The upcoming update brings more personalization options, redesigns, a new typeface, AI tools for image editing, and a video editor app.
While the beta version of the OS has been available for some time, Samsung has now provided a glimpse into what users can expect from the final version.
One UI 6 places a strong emphasis on improving usability and incorporating intelligent capabilities for seamless photo and video editing experiences.
The Quick panel and app interfaces have undergone a refreshing redesign, and a brand-new typeface called ‘One UI Sans’ has been introduced.
Moreover, the Gallery now incorporates advanced AI features such as Photo Remaster and Object Eraser.
These AI capabilities analyze photos and offer suggestions to enhance the image quality.
Additionally, Samsung has introduced Samsung Studio, a multi-layer video editor that enables users to add text, stickers, and music to their video timelines.
Samsung also highlighted their renewed focus on Tizen, with plans to revamp the Linux-based open-source OS. Tizen will now power new home appliances equipped with larger displays, such as ovens and washing machines.
Notably, Samsung unveiled the Tizen SDK, featuring a combined 2D and 3D graphics engine, to support the development of innovative applications on the platform.
Furthermore, Samsung is expanding Samsung Health into a comprehensive digital health ecosystem.
As part of this expansion, Samsung will grant third-party developers access to the BioActive sensor on Galaxy smartwatches through the Samsung Privileged Health SDK, opening up new possibilities for health and fitness-related applications.
