Nintendo는 새로운 세대의 게임 제품 창출을 시도하며 콘솔 및 휴대용 기기 부문을 통합할 것으로 알려졌다.
니케이닷컴에 따르면 닌텐도 주식회사는 가정용 비디오 게임 콘솔과 휴대용 게임 장치의 개발 부문을 통합하여 "더 혁신적이고 매력적인 제품을 창출하기 위한 노력"을 벌일 예정입니다.
"인터넷을 통해 게임과 비디오 등 엔터테인먼트를 위해 스마트폰과 태블릿을 사용하는 사람들이 늘어나면서, 닌텐도는 주목받을 차세대 게임 시스템을 개발할 계획입니다"라고 보고서는 말합니다.

LOL I don’t think they’re making a phone.
It’s more likely the internal merger will make 3DS and Wii U more like each other and make it easier to develop tech for them to interact with each other. Iwata has already said they plan to make MiiVerse on 3DS to be nothing short of amazing. 3DS and Wii U are also expected to interact in a huge way on the next Smash Brothers game.
Lastly, Iwata has also gone on record that they do not plan to release any new hardware this year, so we won’t even see the consequences of this action until at least 2014. Either way, exciting time for gaming.
Had a feeling that this will happen. Now let’s see what kind of Phone they will come up with.
