DICT는 필리핀에서 불법 도박 및 포르노그래피에 악용되고 있다는 우려로 인해 텔레그램 차단 여부를 조사 중입니다.

DICT 장관 헨리 아구다는 특정 불법 도박 운영자들이 이제 텔레그램을 통해 업무를 수행하고 있으며, 해당 애플리케이션이 사적인 이미지 및 동영상과 연결되어 있다고 보고했습니다.

아구다는 팀이 텔레그램과의 협조를 시도했을 때 플랫폼 관리 측에 연락하기가 어려웠다고 보고했습니다. 그는 온라인 아동 성착취 및 학대가 모든 기업이 반드시 해결해야 할 절대적 요구사항이며, 이를 처리하지 않을 경우 콘텐츠 관련 제재를 받을 것이라고 선언했습니다.DICT 는 성물 및 도박 활동을 조사하는 과정에서 재정 사기 및 딥페이크 콘텐츠 등 세 가지 문제를 확인했습니다. 해당 기관은 사이버 관련 범죄 활동에 대항하기 위해 필리핀 국립경찰청과 국가수사국과 협력하고 있습니다.
