Google Photos is rolling out new video editing tools that make creating highlight videos much easier on both Android and iOS. The update introduces ready-made templates, letting users pick a style, choose photos or clips, and instantly generate a polished video synced to music. A redesigned editor also brings a cleaner layout, a universal timeline, and an adaptive canvas for smoother navigation.
Google has improved the music selection menu too, making it simpler to pick the right soundtrack. Android users also get custom text overlays with new fonts, colors, and backgrounds. Clip-level editing has been upgraded as well, allowing users to trim, adjust, and add effects to individual videos.
These features are now rolling out globally across Google Photos.
