Google Photos adds new meme-making feature

Listen to article

Google Photos just got a fun new feature, and it might be one of its most entertaining updates in a while. The app now lets users create personalized memes with themselves as the main character.

This feature is called ‘Me Meme,’ and this AI model creates memes based on your photograph. This feature is currently only available to users based in the US to begin with. However, from a first glance, this is surely to be a feature that many users will make good use of.

It’s really easy to use. Inside Google Photos, tap on “Create” and select “Me Memes.” Pick a meme, add a photo of yourself, and you’re done. You can even add your own meme photo to create a meme template. Then, hit “Generate” and let artificial intelligence do its magic.

Once your meme is ready, you can save it, regenerate a new version, or share it instantly. It’s a lighthearted addition that turns everyday photos into something share-worthy, and meme fans will likely love it.

As of now, this feature isn’t available locally, but stay tuned for more updates.
