HarmonyOS could arrive to PC in 2024, former Huawei exec claims

A report emerged claiming a possible HarmonyOS release for PCs in 2024.

As spotted by ithome via Weibo, former Huawei exec Wang Chenglu hinted a possible PC version of Huawei’s operating system.

A fellow Weibo user asked if there will be HarmonyOS for PC, and Chenglu simply replied “Yes.”

Chenglu was the former Consumer BG Software Engineering Dept President and AI and All-scenario Intelligence Business Unit Director at Huawei. He has been a key researcher behind the development of Huawei’s software, including the creation of HarmonyOS and EMUI.

He recently joined Kaihong Digital, which conducts extensive research on HarmonyOS and focuses on IoT operating systems.

While there is no confirmation yet on the side of Huawei, do take this news lightly.
