Apple adds COVID-19 Exposure Notification on iOS 14

Apple has currently added the COVID-19 Exposure Notification for easier contact tracing on iOS 14.

Based on the pop-up message we received while using the public beta 5 for iOS 14, the COVID-19 Exposure Notification utilizes iPhones for contact tracing.  Through Bluetooth technology, iPhone users with iOS 14 may detect devices with the same Exposure Notification feature, keep the log up to 14 days, and notify those that have been near them anonymously once they are positive from COVID-19. The feature also allows public health authorities to reach those who have been exposed to a COVID-19 patient.

The latest public beta version also detects the available Exposure Notification App per region. For the Philippines, iPhone users with iOS 14 may download the StaySafePH Lite app.
