Battle of Sub-7K Smartphone: Alcatel Flash Plus vs Huawei Honor 4C

Listen to article

With the recent arrival of the Huawei Honor 4C in the country, we thought of pitting it against the Alcatel Flash Plus to see which one is the better sub-Php7K smartphone.

With the exclusion of pixel density of its screen, the Alcatel OneTouch Flash Plus dominates the Honor 4C in specs department. The former has bigger screen with Dragontrail Glass protection, twice the amount of internal storage, better graphics processing unit (Mali-T760 vs Mali-450) support for dual-LTE and has a more sizeable 3,500mAh battery.

If there’s one thing that’s going for the Huawei Honor 4C, it has to be its design. It’s got a more refined aesthetics than the Flash Plus. But despite having a smaller screen and more modest battery pack, Huawei’s new mid-range smartphone oddly weighs more than the OneTouch Flash Plus, and it’s slightly thicker too at 8.8mm.

Lastly, we have the pricing. The Alcatel OneTouch Flash Plus is Php500 cheaper than the Huawei Honor 4C at Php6,490. The latter though is now available locally. Based on this brief comparison, I think we can all agree that the Alcatel Flash Plus takes the cake for offering better feature set with cheaper price.

Honor 4C HSPA/GSM only and price at lazada is P6,990.00 but offered with discount at P6,390.00, got my order the other day thru lazada. So far performance is great. Got this 4C because I am quite happy with my 3C and still using it. The 4C is for the wifey to replace her Zenfone 5 (nice phone but battery sucks!) The Honor 4X is the one that comes with LTE and sold at lazada for P8,290.00

I also bought one thinking that it supports LTE as indicated on their listing. my unit in on delivery but saw it on the huawei kiosk at megamall earlier and confirmed that it only supports up to 3g. a little disappointed but for the price and specs it is ok.

I think they are not on the same level.

Dapat Firefly Mobile Intense LTE 64 Bit ang comparo dahil sila lang ng Huawei ang available kahit saan. Alcatel Flash + is coming to an empty party.

Not only does the Alcatel Flash Plus take the cake, it’s bringing the table along with it when compared to the 4C. 5.5″, Dragontrail, OGS, 8MP, 4.4.4, LTE!!! and get this – it scored almost 44K in Antutu.

Don’t be fooled by Huawei Honor 4C’s bezel dyan sa pic.

FYI. Alcaltel Flash Plus already lowered their price to 6490, based on an earlier yugatech article. Hence Alcaltel Flash Plus is not at the same price with honor…

It would be great if there is already a full review of Alcaltel Flash Plus in yugatech for a full understanding of its capability.

Thanks
