Google is set to unveil their second-generation Pixel smartphones, and based on reports, it will pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 836 mobile platform.

Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, revealed in a tweet that the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 836 SoCs, which is yet to be formally announced. It’s predecessor, the Snapdragon 835, was announced in January 2017.
As for the arrival of the 2nd-gen Pixel smartphones, Evan mentioned that it will be on October 5th.
