Back in March, Huawei has sued Xiaomi mainly for their wireless communication and screen lock technology alongside their smartphone photography.

Today, Huawei and Xiaomi have agreed on a global patent license. The deal mainly talks about 5G communication technologies.

Additionally, Huawei also has patent agreements with other tech companies like South Korea’s Samsung, Oppo and Ericsson.

From royalty revenues alone, Huawei has gained USD 560 million in 2022. The company has earned more than they’ve paid for over the last two years as smartphone sales decline over the years.
