HUAWEI continues to lead China’s foldable smartphone market, taking a 72.6% share in Q2 2025, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC). The surge is largely attributed to the popularity of the HUAWEI Pura X and its other foldable models.

This isn’t the first time HUAWEI topped the charts. The brand also held 76% market share in Q1 2025, showing strong momentum since 2024. Its success is driven by both high-end models like the Mate X7 and more affordable options like the nova Flip.
HONOR came in second with a 7.6% share, followed by vivo (5.5%), Xiaomi (5%), and OPPO (4.6%).

Despite HUAWEI’s strong performance, overall foldable phone shipments in China dropped by 14% year-on-year, with just 2.21 million units sold.
IDC cites hardware challenges and slow innovation as key reasons for the decline, suggesting that improving the software ecosystem could help boost future growth.
