HUAWEI Pura X now official

The HUAWEI Pura X 175 clamshell foldable is now official. It deviates from traditional foldable design with its tall aspect ratio despite its 6.3-inch OLED panel.

The main screen has a resolution of 2120 x 1320 and a refresh rate up to 120Hz. It also has a 3.5-inch OLED cover display with 980 x 980 resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate.

As per usual HUAWEI fashion, the processor hasn’t been specified yet. However, reports online have suggested that it boasts a Kirin 9020 chip with a Maleoon 920 GPU.

This device has configurations up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It packs a 4,720mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 66W of wired fast charging and 40W of wireless charging.

For optics, it has a 50-megapixel main with OIS, 40-megapixel ultrawide with macro, and an 8-megapixel telephoto. It also sports a 10.7-megapixel front camera and a spectral image sensor. The latter’s similar to what the Mate 70 Pro Series is equipped with.

The phone will ship with HarmonyOS 5.0.1 out of the box. Other features include its stereo speakers with HUAWEI Histen Sound, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a graphite plate for thermals.

The HUAWEI Pura X is available in Black, White, and Silver, currently only available in China with no word yet on global launch details. There are also Pattern Red and Pattern Green variants for its Collector’s Edition models.

Its price starts at CNY 7,499 (~PHP 59K) with 12GB/256GB. It’s also available for CNY 7,999 (~PHP 63K), CNY 8,999 (~PHP 71K), and CNY 9,999 (~PHP 79K) with 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB, respectively.
