OPPO A92 Hands-on
OPPO confirmed a week ago that it would launch the OPPO A92 in the Philippines. And now it’s finally here, packing a 6.5-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, quad-rear cameras, and a massive 5,000mAh battery. Check out our initial thoughts below.
The OPPO A92 sports a 6.5-inch display Full HD+ LTPS display with a hole-punch design for the 16MP selfie camera. The bezels are slim at the top and sides, although thicker at the chin.
In the hands, the A92 feels light and premium. It’s a fingerprint and smudge magnet, though, so it’s best to put a case on it if you don’t like seeing your phone with those.
Situated on the rear are the quad cameras, consisting of the 48MP primary shooter, the 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth. You can take a look at some samples here:
On the right, is the power button that also doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
On the left, we have the volume rocker which is clicky and tactile and placed near the middle, so they’re easier to reach, even with small hands. Also found here is the triple card tray with slots for two nano-SIM cards and one for the microSD card.
Located at the bottom of the device are the loudspeaker, main microphone, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The OPPO A92 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core CPU with an Adreno 610 GPU, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast-charging. Software-wise, it runs on ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10.
The official price of the OPPO A92 will be announced this week, so stay tuned.
