The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (SM7750-AB) chipset has been unveiled, directly succeeding the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 from 2023.

This is a 4nm chip offering notable performance gains compared to its predecessor. This includes speed boosts to its CPU, GPU, and NPU.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 has an updated Kryo CPU with a 1+4+3 configuration. This consists of one prime core (2.8GHz), four performance cores (2.4GHz), and three efficiency cores (1.8GHz). As per Qualcomm, this is slated to provide 27% faster performance over the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
Meanwhile, its Adreno GPU has a 30 percent boost coupled with select Snapdragon Elite Gaming features. This includes its Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0, and support for HDR10, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and HLG codecs.

For AI processing, it has an updated Hexagon NPU with a 65 percent boost in performance. It has the capability of running Stable Diffusion 1.5 locally.
This chip supports up to LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.- storage. It also has a triple 12-bit ISP (image signal processor) with support for up to 200-megapixel images and 10-bit photos. As for video recording, it caps at 4K 30FPS.
For connectivity, it offers sub-6 GHz 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0. The chip also supports aptX Lossless and aptX Adaptive audio codecs. Brands like HONOR, vivo, and realme are expected to announce devices powered by the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset soon.
