Still high from last week’s launch of the Galaxy S10, the Samsung train doesn’t seem it’ll be stopping soon. This week, they’re releasing a new mid-ranger, the Galaxy M20. Here’s our hands-on take of the device!
The Samsung Galaxy M20 sports an Infinity V-display, measuring at 6.3 inches. The screen’s bezels are pretty slim, apart from the small chin and the notch housing the 8MP front camera. Despite that, the 90% screen-to-body ratio is nice and immersive. The smartphone is pretty nice to hold; it doesn’t feel like a mid-range device. Instead, it feels like a high-end phone in the hands.
On the rear, we have this device’s main shooters: the 13MP camera and the 5MP camera. A fingerprint scanner is situated on the back as well. On the right side, are the usual volume rockers and the power button, while on the left, is the dual SIM tray.
Looking at the bottom, the Galaxy M20 sports a USB Type-C port, and the speaker grill alongside it. The device runs on an enormous 5000mAh battery capacity and supports fast charging. Wired headphones users will be delighted as the M20 possess a 3.5mm audio jack as well.
The quality of the photos is quite impressive. We took a few samples using the M20’s dual rear, wide-angle cameras. Here are a couple of shots:
Here’s a sample selfie shot, and a photo using the Stickers feature of the phone:
The Samsung Galaxy M20 runs on Samsung Exynos 7904 coupled with a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU, has a 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD. Other features of the smartphone include face unlock recognition and Dolby Atmos audio. Overall, the Galaxy M20 is a decent, balanced mid-range phone. We’ve yet to take it for a full spin, however, do consider the Galaxy M20 if you’re on a budget and looking for a good smartphone.
