Xiaomi 12S Series w/ Leica tech to launch on July 4

Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun took to Twitter their announcement of the upcoming product launch of Leica-tuned Xiaomi 12S Series on July 4, 2022.

After announcing its strategic partnership with Leica last month, Xiaomi will unveil three new flagships: the 12S Ultra, 12S Pro and 12S, all confirmed to be co-engineered with Leica imaging tech.

The company hasn’t revealed much of their specs sheet yet, but in their Weibo post, the 12S Ultra is dubbed as the ‘new height of mobile imaging,’ while the 12S Pro is the ‘new flagship standard,’ and the regular 12S will be a small-sized flagship.

Along with the same post is an image showing a glimpse of what the 12S series will look from the rear, having protruding camera modules that varies in size. Perhaps the largest one which has a green leather finish and golden frame accent is the 12S Ultra, at the center is the 12 Pro rocking in black color, and the 12S in white.

Xiaomi’s 12S Series product launch will be an online event on July 4, 2022 at 7 p.m. (Philippine time) through their social media channels.
