Xiaomi added several additions to its End-of-Life (EoL) list ranging from Xiaomi 11 Series, as well as several entry-level Redmi and POCO phones.
The following devices will receive their final security patch in September 2025:
Xiaomi 11 Series
Redmi
POCO
Most of these phones didn’t even get the HyperOS 2 update and are not expected to be included in the HyperOS 3 rollout either.
For context, when a device reaches EoL status, it will no longer receive software updates nor security patches. While such devices are still functional for daily use, these are now more vulnerable to potential security risks and app compatibility.
See the complete EoL product list via the Xiaomi official website 27.
The company hasn’t confirmed a release date for HyperOS 3 yet, but it’s expected to roll out with the Xiaomi 16 Series. Some older models might also receive the update later on.
Currently, Xiaomi has already shipped HyperOS 2.3, based on Android 16, to certain devices. However, further improvements are expected to come with HyperOS 3, which is likely to enter beta testing later this year.
Early reports suggest that HyperOS 3 will include UI refinements, improved system performance, smoother animations, and visual changes compared to the current version.
