Xiaomi users rejoice: the company will be releasing Android Nougat updates for its roster of smartphones in the coming future.
According to Xiaomi via a report from AndroidCentral, the following devices are scheduled for a MIUI update bearing the Android 7.0 update:
- Xiaomi Mi Mix
- Xiaomi Mi Note 2
- Xiaomi Mi 5s
- Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus
- Xiaomi Mi 5
- Xiaomi Mi Max
- Xiaomi Mi Note
- Xiaomi Mi 4c
- Xiaomi Mi 4s
On the other hand, these recently-released devices will be receiving the more recent MIUI update bearing Google’s Android 7.1:
- Xiaomi Redmi 4
- Xiaomi Redmi 4X
- Xiaomi Mi 5c
No timetable has been scheduled for release of the update for these devices, so we’ll keep tabs on them as they are officially announced.
My Mi 5 has been updated to Nougat long time ago. Some of the mentioned devices has also been in Nougat already.
