AirAsia has just opened a technology center in India’s Silicon Valley, Bengaluru (Bangalore).
The technology center will be home to AirAsia’s Software and Engineering (AASET) team. The team will be tasked to design and create for the airline and its digital businesses, namely the AirAsia official website and the AirAsia mobile app. Along with that, the team will also be designing and implementing the airline’s new products such as the AI-powered chatbot, AVA.

The launch of the technology center today, February 28, 2019, is a part of AirAsia’s transformation into a travel technology company. Recently, AirAsia implemented voice assistance and flight search mapping on its mobile app.
