Amazon Blink Video Doorbell now official

With the release of its Amazon Echo Show 15, Amazon has also unveiled its Blink Video Doorbell.

The device can be installed with and without wires and boasts a two-year battery life. Additionally, it supports 1080p HD night/day video, two-way audio, chime app alerts, and the ability to connect to and sound your existing in-home chime. Some other key features include:

• Be alerted to what matters: Users can go wire-free and get chime app notifications and motion alerts from the Blink app. Customers can also choose to record, save, and share events with an optional Blink Subscription plan, or have it locally saved with a Blink Sync Module.
• See and speak to visitors: Receive alerts when someone is at your door and interact with them.
• Long battery life: The Video Doorbell runs on two AA lithium batteries, and when wired or paired with a Sync Module 2 it can last up to two years.
• Home is in your hands: Access what video and sounds the Doorbell comes across with the Blink Home Monitor app.
• Weatherproof: It is also built to withstand harsh weather elements.
