AMD Ryzen 3000 series, Athlon 3000 C series Mobile Processors for Chromebooks announced

AMD announced the Ryzen 3000 series mobile processors and the latest Athlon 3000 C series mobile processors for Chromebook. The former is the first AMD Ryzen mobile processors for Chromebook.

Running under the Zen architecture, the AMD Ryzen 3000 series and Athlon 3000 C-series of mobile processors are will power the upcoming thinner and lighter Chromebooks. The mobile processors are designed in partnership with Google and come with AMD Radeon graphics. It also supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.

The AMD Ryzen 3000 C series mobile processors offer up to a better performance for multitasking, content creation, graphics, office productivity, and photo editing performance than the previous generation AMD Chromebooks.

The AMD Ryzen 3000 series and Athlon 3000 C series mobile processors will be initially available on Chromebooks from Acer, ASUS, HP, and Lenovo starting Q4 of 2020. It will come soon on AMD’s OEM partners in the consumer, education, and enterprise markets.

    I’m not sure if it’s just an error or misinformed, but this is definitely not AMD’s first mobile processor. Just this year they have announced mobile Ryzen 4000 series.
