ASUS officially unveils ROG Phone 8 series

Asus has officially announced the ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro globally. So far, Europe and UK will have these devices released in February.

Both of the ASUS ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ Samsung Flexible AMOLED display with up to 165Hz refresh rate. Powering the devices is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The standard version has 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage while the Pro variant comes with either 16GB of RAM with 512GB of storage or 24GB of RAM with 1TB of storage.

The ROG Phone 8 series comes with a triple-rear camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX890 OIS main, 32MP 3x optical zoom, and 13MP ultrawide with a 32MP selfie shooter.

Both devices run on a 5,500mAh battery with 65W Quick Charge 5.0 and PD Charging support. They also have a 3.5mm headphone jack and two colorways: Rebel Grey and Phantom Black.

The ASUS ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro is priced at:

  • [Standard version] USD 1,099.99 (around PHP 61,213.95) for 12GB+256GB
  • [Pro version] USD 1,199.99 (around PHP 66,778.91) for 16GB+512GB
  • [Pro version] USD 1,499.99 (around PHP 83,473.77) for 24GB+1TB with an AeroActive Cooler X / Aero Case

We do know that a launch in China on January 16 may occur, but we’ll let you know when a Philippine launch has been announced.

  1. As per gsmarena, no telephoto cam w/ ois for south east asia and indian version rog phone 8 pro. Only macro cam. Which means most people in asia don’t use telephoto cam at all.
