ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) on Wednesday has announced new additions to ROG Strix and Flow lineups: the ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition and the ROG Flow X16, plus an expansion to ROG Slash fashion line, and new ROG Runner parkour game for ROG Citadel XV.
The ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE is powered by a 12th-gen Intel Core i9-12950HX CPU paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU, and either QHD 240Hz or FHD 360Hz 17.3-inch IPS display which both have 3ms response time, Adaptive Sync compatible, and Dolby Vision support.
The gaming laptop has up to 64GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM, up to 4TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD in RAID 0, and packing a 90Wh battery capacity.
On the other hand, the ROG Flow X16 features an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU with a MUX Switch, and either mini LED QHD or IPS QHD 16-inch display with the same 165Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 16:10, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 touchscreen.
The ROG Flow X16 is equipped with up to 64GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM, and up to 4TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, and powered by 90Wh battery capacity.
Design-wise, both gaming laptops emanate cyberpunk aesthetics with the ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE having a traditional form factor, and a metal chassis. While the ROG Flow X16 is a 360-degree convertible with only 19.4mm thickness.

Furthermore, ASUS expands the ROG Slash fashion line, again inspired by cyberpunk aesthetics that includes the Crossbody Bag, Backpack, Hip Bag, and Protective Laptop Bag all with water-repellent TPU materials. There’s also the Cobra Buckle Cap and Bucket Hat.
Lastly, ROG Citadel XV game receives an expansion titled the SCAR Runner, a first-person parkour game covering the story of ‘X’. Design accents of the ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE chassis also have in-game hints hidden on the laptop itself, which can be revealed using a UV light.
