BDO highlights rewards tied to savings balances

BDO Rewards gives account holders a way to turn savings into points that can be used for discounts on shopping, dining, and other purchases.

Customers who maintain at least PHP 50,000 in their savings account and activate their Rewards Card can start earning points. For every PHP 30,000 in average monthly balance, they earn 1 Rewards Point. Each point is equivalent to PHP 1.

All new BDO account holders are automatically enrolled in the Rewards program under the Emerald tier. As account balances increase, customers may move up to the Sapphire and Diamond tiers which come with additional benefits.

Rewards Points can be redeemed at SM Retail stores or exchanged for e-gift certificates from participating brands. It can also be converted into cash credit for a BDO credit card or an SMAC account.

Actress, singer and model Belle Mariano states: “One step towards adulting is learning how to keep track of how much I save and how much I spend. But it’s also nice to treat ourselves once in a while, especially when we use Reward Points so we don’t even have to spend anything.”

The Rewards program is available on BDO Pay. Users can view their points balance, monitor savings and redeem e-gift certificates in one app.
