The Bureau of Internal Revenue recently eased the processing of business registration by removing the mayor’s permit among the list of documentary requirements to be submitted by the applicants.
Based on the memorandum issued by Commissioner Caesar Dulay, it prescribes the updated policy and checklist of prescribed requirements on the registration of businesses and other types of applications. The removal of the mayor’s permit from the list is in accordance with the BIR Citizen’s Charter.
The bureau is also not allowed to process applications or requests with “deficient or incomplete requirements” unless the documents submitted are complete.
