According to the WSJ, the three media giants plan to make their collective sports content available through a centralized streaming platform. This comes with the intent to become the strongest sports streaming service in the United States.

It will provide sports media consumers with unparalleled access to various sporting events and content. With the platform reportedly ready for launch by fall this year, potential subscribers will have access to a comprehensive selection of sports programming.

The platform will feature channels such as ESPN, TNT, and FOX Sports. The combined portfolio of the entertainment giants encompass the NFL, NBA, MLB, FIFA World Cup, and collegiate competitions.

The new media entity will be structured as a new brand with an independent management team. Each of its co-owners will license its sports content, non-exclusively. This means that content from programs like ESPN or the NBA will still be available on other platforms.

The three companies have yet to release the pricing details for the upcoming platform. But sit tight, we’ll keep you updated with further details on the story.
