Secretary of the Department of Health, Paulyn Ubial, said she wants to block pornographic websites in the country as a measure to discourage promiscuous behavior in the youth and limit the spread of HIV-AIDS.
In an interview with The STAR, Ubial said that she is no longer pushing the distribution of condoms among senior high school students which is one of the measures considered to help prevent the spread of HIV-AIDS among the youth.

Instead, Ubial will just push for the government to undertake measures to make pornographic websites inaccessible in the country as she believes that pornography accessed on smartphones encourages promiscuous behavior in the youth.
“I will support anything that can curb the spread of HIV-AIDS,” Ubial said.
She is also considering the distribution of print materials that show actual photos of people with sexually transmitted diseases as a deterrent to sexual promiscuity among the youth.
The Philippine government has ordered local ISPs to ban access to porn sites in 2014 but was only felt last month when popular adult sites became inaccessible pursuant to the Republic Act 9775 or the Anti-Child Pornography Law. The Philippines also ranked 14th worldwide among the top countries that visit Pornhub in 2016.
