eGovPH resumes operations after system upgrade

Listen to article

The eGovPH is back online after a brief downtime, and it’s now running more smoothly than before.

According to Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the issue was caused by too many users at once, not a security problem.

DICT Undersecretary David Almirol Jr. said the app now has around 40 million users, which led to the slowdown. To address this issue, the team upgraded its servers and enhanced the system.

The maintenance lasted a few hours over two days. Now, the app is stable again and ready for more users. DICT is also planning more upgrades as new services are added soon.
