Facebook to roll out redesigned Pages

Facebook has recently announced new features on the redesigned Pages.

According to the Facebook Newsroom, the Pages will now have a simpler and more intuitive layout that allows people to see bios, posts, and other important info easier. There will also be a dedicated News Feed to discover and join conversations, follow trends, interact with peers, and engage with followers.  It will also suggest new connections, bump comments from public figures, introduces a new text-based Q&A format, and more convenient navigation between a personal profile and Pages.

Facebook will also remove Likes to simplify the way people connect with a Page and retain its followers who can receive updates.

Pages also now come with updated task-based admin controls, giving trusted Page admins full control or partial access to specific tasks. This includes granting various access levels to manage specific tasks including Insights, Ads, Content, and Community Activity & Messages.

Actionable insights and more relevant notifications are also added to the redesigned pages.  There are also safety and integrity features like detecting spammy content, hate speech, violent or sexual content, and impersonator accounts. Facebook continues to expand the visibility of a verified badge to make it easier to identify posts and comments from authentic Pages and profiles. Do note that when a verified Page comments on another Page’s public post, their comments may appear higher in the section and be visible in News Feeds.

The redesigned Pages will roll out in the upcoming months.
