Garmin has released its latest lineup of solar-powered GPS smartwatches, the Instinct Solar, fenix 6 Pro Solar, and the fenix 6S Pro Solar. All models feature Garmin’s Power Glass lens that efficiently converts the light into electrical energy, continuous solar charging, and Power Manager for adapting the smartwatch’s battery according to the user’s activity.
The fenix 6 Pro Solar and the fenix 6S Pro Solar are the brand’s newest outdoor GPS smartwatches. Both have training features, onboard mapping, and music streaming support. New activity profiles such as surf, mountain bike, and indoor climb. However, the fenix 6 Pro Solar has longer battery life rated at 16 days when used outdoors. Meanwhile, the fenix 6S Pro Solar can last up to 10.5 days. When used indoors, the latter lasts up to 14 days while the former has 9 days.
On the other hand, the Instinct Solar series offers a plethora of outdoor activity monitoring and health tracking features. It has a Body Battery feature that analyzes heart rate variability, as well as Pulse Ox (SpO2)2 for measuring of blood oxygen saturation. Other feature includes tracking of stress level, sleep quality, and daily activity. t comes in two variants: a regular and a Camo edition. Both can last up to 54 days with sufficient solar exposure, and 24 days when used indoors.
Garmin’s solar-powered GPS smartwatches are now available on Kinetic.com.ph, Lazada, Shopee, Garmin Brand Stores, and all authorized retailers. The Instinct Solar is available in two variants: Graphite and Flame Red. Meanwhile, the Instinct Solar Camo Edition is available in Graphite Camo. It retails for PHP 24,995USD 426INR 36,108EUR 406CNY 3,102 and PHP 27,995USD 477INR 40,442EUR 454CNY 3,474, respectively.
Coming in Black with Slate Gray Band and Mineral Blue with Whitestone Band, the fenix 6 Pro Solar is priced at PHP 52,995USD 903INR 76,557EUR 860CNY 6,577. The fenix 6S Pro Solar also shares the same price tag and offers two colorways: Light Gold and Amethyst Steel with Shale Gray Bands.
