Garmin Venu Sq 2 and Venu Sq 2 Music Edition now official

Garmin adds two new smartwatches to its Venu Series – Venu Sq 2 and Venu Sq 2 Music Edition. The Music Edition being able to connect to Wi-Fi and has an onboard storage for offline music playback storing up to 500+ songs through Spotify, Deezer, and Amazon Music.

Aside from the aforementioned specs, the Venu Sq 2 and Venu Sq 2 – Music edition is pretty much the same sporting a 1.41-inch always-on AMOLED color touchscreens with 360 x 320-pixel resolution with a Gorilla Glass 3 lens protection.

The battery capacity has not been announced as of yet but the company claims that it can last up to 11 days on a full charge during Smartwatch mode, and can be increased to 12 days with the Battery Saver Smartchwatch mode enabled. Though when the GPS-only GNSS mode is active, users are able to get up to 26 hours of endurance, and up to 20 hours for the All-Systems GNSS mode. For the Music Edition, listening to music pulls that down to about 7 hours.

The Venu Sq 2 and Sq 2- Music Edition both come with more than 25 indoor and outdoor sports apps, including walking, running, cycling, pool swimming, HIIT, and tennis pre-loaded with users having the option of creating their own workouts from more than 1,600 exercises using the Garmin Connect app. It is compatible with both iPhones and Android smartphones and support contactless payments through Garmin Pay.

The Garmin Venu Sq 2 is priced at USD 250 while the Venu Sq 2 – Music Edition costs USD 300 and is available for orders from the Garmin Website

The standard model comes in gray, white, cream gold, and metallic mint colors, while the Music Edition comes in black, ivory gold, cream gold.
