GCash seems to be doubling down on security efforts after confirming the GCash accounts were randomly deducted yesterday 15.
They’ve released an official statement in this regard and denied any hacking incident that might have caused it.
Following an extended system downtime last night, GCash has also disabled the biometric login feature of the app 25.
Likewise, they have also apparently disabled the Bank Transfer feature, promising that it will be returned soon.
Based on the succession of incidents and on GCash’s statement that there is no hacking involved, it seems to highlight the seriousness of the account deductions experienced by GCash customers.
