For those that missed it, GrabTaxi Electric Beta is now available in the Philippines. The EV fleet was rolled out last June with booking found on the Grab app under Standard Car.

Passengers in six cities within Metro Manila may avail of the new service while still under its testing period. At the time of writing, it’s currently available in Makati, Mandaluyong, Paranaque, Pasay, Pasig, and Taguig.
Similar to their standard car service, it has a meter. However, it can’t be flagged down translating to fluctuating prices. Grab’s fleet leverages rides with Chinese EV maker Changan’s Eado EV460 27 model.

I’ve checked it out myself and booked a ride from YugaTech HQ to Glorietta 1. It costs PHP 431 with Standard Car and PHP 282-338 with Electric taxi on a rainy evening.

Here’s a breakdown of how much the Grab EV Taxi will cost for this ride. We’ll also leave a fare comparison with GrabCar Standard above.
