HONOR Magic V5 now official: 8.8mm thin (folded), Snapdragon 8 Elite

Aside from the new HONOR MagicPad 3, the brand also unveiled the HONOR Magic V5 in China.

HONOR has once again broken its own record for the world’s slimmest book-type foldable, with the Magic V5 measuring just 8.8 mm when folded and 4.1 mm when unfolded. This is relatively thinner than the Magic V3, which measured 9.4 mm folded and 4.4 mm unfolded.

Powering the Magic V5 is the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite. At the rear, it retains the triple camera setup, now with an updated 64-megapixel telephoto lens—offering 3x optical zoom. The other two cameras include a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, and another 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.

Its battery is rated 5820mAh capacity, and it supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. Notably, the 1TB variant packs a higher 6100mAh unit.

For added protection, it gets both IP58 and IP59 dust and water resistance.
