HTC VIVE Eagle AI glasses announced

The HTC VIVE Eagle AI glasses have been announced as their latest wearable with a lightweight form factor.

The glasses are protected by ZEISS UV400 protection lenses and come equipped with a 12MP ultrawide camera. It can capture photos at 3034 x 4032 and shoot videos at 30 fps with a resolution of 1512 x 2016.

Powering this is a Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It weighs roughly 49 grams with lenses on and has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

It also comes with open-ear stereo speakers and a beamforming mic array. It supports VIVE’s voice assistant, Gemini, and even GPT (in beta). It packs a 235mAh battery, rated for 36 hours on standby, 4.5 hours with music playback, and 3 hours with calls.

Users can juice it back up via a magnetic charger, capable of delivering 50 percent in 10 minutes and 80 percent in 23 minutes. Other features include real-time translation (13 languages) and VIVE Connect app support.

The HTC VIVE Eagle will come in Black, Berry, Coffee, and Grey colorways. The price is estimated to be ~USD 521 (~PHP 30K), with pre-orders open in Taiwan.

Sales are set to begin on September 1, 2025 with no details yet on its global release. In addition, the glasses only support devices with iOS 17.6 and above and Android 10 and above.
