HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 4 debut with Active Noise Cancellation

Listen to article

HUAWEI has quietly introduced the FreeBuds SE 4 ANC, marking the first time the budget-friendly SE series gets active noise cancellation. Despite the low-key launch, the new earbuds pack upgrades that make them worth checking out.

The FreeBuds SE 4 ANC support three ANC modes: Ultra, General, and Cozy, capable of blocking up to 24dB of ambient noise. They also feature a triple-mic setup for clearer voice pickup during calls. Inside, Huawei equipped them with 10mm dynamic drivers tuned for a 20Hz–20kHz frequency range.

Each bud weighs just 4.3g and comes with three ear tip sizes for a snug fit. Battery life is impressive: 7 hours playback with ANC on, 10 hours with it off, and up to 50 hours total with the charging case. The buds themselves carry 41mAh cells, while the case packs enough juice for extended listening.

Durability is another highlight. HUAWEI says the FreeBuds SE 4 ANC passed 26 quality tests, including drop resistance and extreme temperature trials. They’re also rated IP54 for dust and splash protection.

Connectivity runs on Bluetooth 5.4 with seamless pairing on HUAWEI devices. Available in Black and White, pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, though last year’s SE 3 launched at around CNY 199 (PHP 1,589.88) in China.
