HUAWEI Mate X6 now official

Alongside the HUAWEI Mate 70 Series, a new foldable from the brand also makes its debut in China — the HUAWEI Mate X6.

It measures a mere 4.6 mm when unfolded and 9.9 mm folded. The outer screen spans 6.45-inch and uses LTPO OLED panel. And the inner foldable display has nearly 1:1 ratio (2440 x 2240 pixels) spanning 7.93-inch.

Huawei has not specified what chipset powers the Mate X6, but speculations suggest it comes with Kirin 9100 built on 6-nm process.

The foldable gets IPX8 water resistance, and packs up to 5200mAh battery for Collector’s Edition and 5110mAh for the regular ones.

For charging, it features 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.

There’s an option to get the one powered by HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0 dubbed as the Pioneer Edition. This is Huawei’s in-house software which is not based on Android AOSP kernel.

Other variants will ship with HarmonyOS 4.3 which still uses Android code.

The HUAWEI Mate X6 is now available for pre-orders in China starting at CNY 12,999PHP 104,784USD 1,786INR 151,345EUR 1,700 (~Php105K) for the base model 12+256GB.

The Pioneer Edition is priced at CNY 13,999PHP 112,845USD 1,923INR 162,988EUR 1,831 (~Php113K) and comes with 12+512GB config.
