LTO vehicle plate availability checker now online

The Land Transportation Office’s (LTO) online vehicle plate availability checker silently went live yesterday. This will allow motorists to check if their new plates are now ready for pick-up.

The LTO’s plate backlog has been a long-running issue of the office and is one of the main reasons why they’re taking a lot of heat. They’re slowly releasing the delayed plates with most of the held 2016 batch 23 now rolling out.

They’ve also partnered with the Department of Transportation recently to open the government’s own license-plate manufacturing factories 23. To access the online plate availability checker just head on over to this link here 370.

According to LTO website as of mid-Aug, my plates should have been available at the dealer already. But dealer says they don’t have my plates. anyone else having this issue or is it just my dealer?

The problem now is the dealer. As per LTO website, the plate number is with the dealer, but upon checking, dealer did not yet claim plate number. AS per dealer, they have to distribute all issued plate number to them before DOTR will give new batch. WTH!
