Your Instagram contacts can now be synced to Messenger

Facebook made quite the social upgrade to Messenger today as Instagram contacts can now be synced to the messaging platform.

Facebook silently launched the option to Messenger, where people online suddenly noticed a “Connect to Instagram” button on the “People” tag. Tapping the button will prompt Messenger to automatically sync your Instagram contacts to your current list in the app. The feature is definitely here, as we’ve also noticed the “Connect to Instagram” button on our app.

Your Instagram username and account will also become visible to other people on the app. Be warned though there is no confirmation pop-up once you tap the button, so once you hit that “connect” your Instagram contacts will immediately be synced.
