The chairman and CEO of PLDT admitted that the company is losing in terms of market share.

Manuel V. Pangilinan, or more famously known as MVP, acknowledges the lead of main rival, Globe Telecom. In his defense, MVP said that they have cleaned up inactive accounts in order to achieve higher quality subscriber base hence the dip in number for 2016
Also, the chairman wants to focus on total telco revenue in which PLDT still has the biggest number of P118.9 billion in the January to September period in 2016, while Globe reported P89 billion.
In a report published by Mobile World Live, Globe has finished 2016 with 66.6 million subscribers, surpassing Smart’s 62.1 million. From 32% market share in 2012, Globe now has 52% market share according to GSMA Intelligence.

Globe has a lead over Smart, not PLDT. The figures are released by Mobile World Live in the first place.
The revenue figures though both include wired and wireless.

bring back the unlimited component to the plans, you’ll have more edge that way.

You also need to focus on your customer service and technical support, they are just there to answer phone calls but no authority and cannot even help the subscribers, simple customer requests that can be done over the phone is unable to process.

PLDT DSL, although it is a 24×7 service, there is a limit on the days and time that onsite or backend support work is available. Seems like it is just a M to F – 8 to 5 service. Albeit the 24×7 call center is easily accessible recently as compared to before. Don’t expect the repair service to be provided during Sat and Sun, based on my very recent experience.
Seems to be a downhill customer service experience from here onward.
