Netflix lets Android users watch partially downloaded content

Netflix has just launched a new feature that enables Android users to watch any video even if the download isn’t complete yet.

This new feature allows you to watch a show you are currently downloading and continue watching it, even if you lose your WiFi or data while downloading. It will enable you to watch up until the point where the content has been downloaded to.

The said feature is currently only available for Android devices (Android 7 or higher), but Netflix says that they will start testing the feature for iOS in the coming months.

“We always want to make it easier for members to access their favorite series or movies regardless of language, device, connectivity, or location. So partial downloading is now available on Android phones and tablets, and we’ll begin testing on iOS in the coming months,” Netflix states in an official blog post.
