In a conversation at SXSW Conference, Meta CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg mentioned that the company plans to introduce NFTs to Instagram.
In a report by TechCrunch, Zuckerberg said in a conversation with Shark Tank’s Daymond John, that Meta is working on bringing NFTs to Instagram in the “near term.”
Zuckerberg said that over the next several months, the ability to bring some of the users’ NFTs to the platform and eventually allow people to “mint things within that environment.”
No other details were provided, but you can expect Meta to work on updates to make the platform more friendly to NFT and its owners.
